I can still vividly remember watching The Exorcist on video at Sally's house one weekend and being so scared I was hiding my face behind a cushion.............I've never watched another scary movie in my life, I think Gayle was there too.

Julie contacted me over the weekend as she had found me on Facebook, she hasn't changed a bit, looking fabulously fit, living on the Gold Coast. I still have her mum's Bournvita biscuit recipe in my recipe book, they are a favourite with the kids. Julie was in my 3rd Form class, not sure which year she left, I also remember she was pretty crazy about horses and apparently is still.

I'm beginning to think the reunion should be held in Australia, so many of us are living over here these days! Anyone have any ideas about the reunion, when, where, who, how...........anything really.

Our first school trip and it was a fun one out in the Hauraki Gulf at the Motutapu Island camp which was formerly an Artillery Camp in WWII. The bunk houses were very basic! Also remember someone coming to grief with a wasp nest while abseiling..........ouch! I think the 4th Form was split into two groups and went out at different times. I returned to NZ in 1988 to catch up with friends, had a great time. I was a Registered Nurse in those days, worked in Sydney then moved out to western NSW to be nearer to my future husband whom I'd met the year previously while living in a nurses home while doing practical work during my university training. Here I am with Mark and Rick, must dig out some old albums and find some of the other photos, this one was lurking on the computer.

Me and Mr Jones

This celebration was held only weeks before I was to return to live in Australia once again. I share my birthday on the 1st December with Michelle's dad Trevor, he's still a good friend of mine and I'm looking forward to catching up with him and Judy next year. I haven't seen him since I was over in 1993 to celebrate his 50th, so later this year I guess he is officially a pensioner............can't imagine that will please him. Anyway the Jones family generously hosted my 18th party at their home, it was a great night celebrating with friends, many of whom I still have regular contact with.

Six years after that night I married on my 24th birthday and Michelle was one of my bridesmaids, our friendship has continued over the years since we met back in 3S with Mrs Stedman in 1980. Who else out there keeps in contact with old Pakuranga College friends?

Does anyone still own their first car? I don't think I even have a photo of mine...............it was a very ugly green Hillman Hunter. I did love travelling in this dear little Morrie, we never got anywhere fast but we got there. Wonder what Pete drives now? I drove a 1967 MG for many years until it became just too impractical with two children and have had station wagons ever since.............daggy but great with kids, dogs, bikes, surfboards, kayaks and camping holidays. Did Scott ever get his Porsche 911 that he lusted after in 7th Form?

What were you doing on that day................did you attend the Progressive Dinner for 7th Form students? I remember making rapid costume changes in the car while travelling to the next course. I recall Nick's family had set up the dining room at their home in a very oriental style with Chinese newspapers covering the tables. I'm sure we all had a great night...............sadly I don't have any photos of this event. Does anyone have some? Gee we must be getting aged, we were allowed to bring 'RECORDS' to play at Gary's! No mobile phones either..............I still don't have one! Not sure if anyones parents still live at those addresses? Does anyone know contact details for Jackie who is apparently in the UAE, Glenn or Nick? All the others have been accounted for, the list of people found is really growing but any help finding others would be appreciated. I don't want someone to miss out on knowing about the reunion or this blog.

These photos came from the Pakuranga College official site from their Past Students section just after the school celebrated it's 45th Anniversay in 2005. Not many from our year attended but the hall was packed. There is a 50th Anniversary planned for 2010 but we are of the opinion it might be more enjoyable to just get our year together next year. What do you think?

Morning everyone who is now getting their regular dose of what's happening on this blog. Michelle and Liset are the rest of the small team who are trying to get a reunion organised for all of you in 2009. This photo was emailed to me this year when Michelle was visting Liset, hope the girls don't kill me for posting it! I live in Australia, Liset is back living in Holland and Michelle is currently in NZ so between us we thought we might be able to pull off this mammoth task of trying to find everyone within the next 12 months and then organise a fantastic get together for all to enjoy. Pete lost his head

Mr Jones has wanted this proof for a quarter of a century. Rick and Pete got the blame for a crack appearing in the Jones' spa. Do you think they might of caused it? Or maybe it was the dozen people in a 4 person spa that did it? This photo was from a celebration after our 7th Form awards ceremony. I was too contaminated with Glandular Fever to share the spa water so I know it wasn't me who made the crack.

7th Form was great when you could take off down to the beach to enjoy some sunshine and lunch, not sure if it was exactly approved by the Mr Seagar? This particular day I recall placing my huge thick accounting folder on the roof of my old green Hillman Hunter while I put my Pinnacle Pack (made by Jenni Hume's dad) in the back and then drove off, pages of work flying down the road behind me! Mrs Philps won't be happy!

Who did we choose in 1984? An interesting article in a quality publication by the students of Pakuranaga College! I remember their being some discussion about the cover being "too phallic" by Mr Griffiths. Who will be 'Mr Pakuranga College 2009'...............you will have to get involved in the reunion to find out. You must be amazed I still have all this crap after 25 years! I have lived in the same house for 18 years and have this morning just found one small rotting cardboard box up in the loft in the garage that has been unopened in all those years, a real time capsule of my school days. Lots more to posted..............beware!

The Universtiy Bursary Results as per the local paper in early 1985. Were we all happy with what we achieved? What did we all go on to do with our lives? I was given a B Bursary by aegrotat/compassionate consideration and went on to Uni to gain a B App Sci (Nursing), worked for a few years in nursing, haven't nursed for over 16 years now. I have learned that results from school certainly don't define what you can go on to achieve in your life. I have caught up with a few and we have some very interesting people amongst our year group and it will be great to share what has happened over the last 25 years.

I had a lot of fun that night getting all dressed up in a new gown that mum had whipped up especially for the occasion. Didn't the boys scrub up well, very classy! I remember our group had pre-dinner drinks and nibbles at science teacher Alan Conders' home. I was very lucky to be attending that ball as I had just missed all my final exams and I was looking a whiter shade of pale as I was suffering from Glandular Fever with liver failure as an extra bonus.
